Fiat pulled a…Porsche-style facelift on us with the 2016MY version of their 500 city car that was nabbed undressed in Europe while shooting a commercial.
At first, you may think there’s nothing different about the updated 500, but if you try a little bit harder and with the help of a few pictures of the current car, you’ll see that the Italian model has gained larger and more oval-shaped head– and auxiliary-lamps, the former likely integrating LED daytime fixtures.
The upper grille is also new as is the reprofiled bumper with a new lower grille and repositioned chrome trimmings.
From previous scoops (via Alvolante), we know that the mid- (or is that “late”?)-cycle facelift gives the 500 a fresh pair of more contemporary-looking LED tail lamps and a redesigned bumper, while a leaked Fiat document has detailed changes inside, including the addition of an infotainment system with a console-mounted screen.
Thanks to Ferd for the tip!
