Remember the lavishly decorated Victorian-like six-wheeled car that you saw in the “League of extraordinary gentlemen” movie of 2003?
It’s called the Nautilus and it’s a fully functioning vehicle that you’ll be able to buy as it’s set to go to auction next month.
It’s based on Land Rover underpinnings, has a Rover V8 under the bonnet and an adjustable ride height too.
While it may be striking, the car doesn’t seem to be all that popular, as it was unable to meet the estimate at a UK auction in 2011 when it was expected to go swap hands for just under $100,000.The original movie car is set to go under the hammer July 11 at the Coys Blenheim Palace sale.
Meanwhile, another one has popped up; this one is scratch built by body shop owner Ken Freeman from North Carolina. His uses a different chassis setup, created from two Cadillac Fleetwoods, and it seems to also differ in the fine detailing if you take a look and compare.
Scroll down and check out the actual movie car in the video and the all-new one in the gallery posted below!
