Though this isn’t the first time we’ve seen Audi’s all-new A4 Avant rendered as an Allroad model, there are still a few more details we can discuss.
Last week we saw this rendering of the 2016 A4 Allroad and naturally we thought that the real thing would undoubtedly look similar. It’s basically an A4 Avant with higher ground clearance and body cladding, right?
Well, yes, pretty much. But in order to judge just how plausible a rendering is, we always need to study a car’s previous version.
So what do we know about the current A4 Allroad? Aesthetically, we know that the mirror casings are the same color as the body (so let’s take away a point from last week’s rendering and give it to this one right here).
We also know that the side skirts are a bit wider than the ones on this blue Allroad…so let’s go ahead and trade points again, since the brown car does seem to have gotten this detail right.
Then there’s the roof railings which are definitely larger on a real Allroad model, which means that neither of these renderings are accurate from this particular perspective.
Oh and one last thing. The fog lights will probably be a lot bigger and slightly shielded by surrounding plastic so that they won’t be easily covered by mud and snow.
Other than that, well, we shouldn’t have any surprises when Audi do launch the all-new Allroad. It’s a car that many have found useful ever since the Germans decided that the A6 Allroad wasn’t enough.
