Bugatti has recently sold the last Veyron ever made, but another milestone model is up for grabs.
The first Bugatti Veyron built, carrying chassis number 001, will go under the hammer at RM Sotheby’s Monterey auction (August 13-15).
With just 764 miles (1,230 km) on the odometer, it’s in “exceptional condition throughout”, with a recent service done by Bugatti of Beverly Hills, where it received a brand-new set of tires. Thanks to its “flawless service history”, the buyer will receive a two-year warranty plus two additional years of service free of charge.
According to the listing, the unique pre-owned warranty and service package from Bugatti Certified is unprecedented and its value exceeds $100,000.
The first production Bugatti Veyron features a two-tone Red and Black paint scheme with a beige interior and sport seats. The car was delivered new to the East Coast and then arrived in California, spending the next few years in Beverly Hills.
There’s no doubt that the Veyron chassis number 001 is a significant car. You may remember that during the world debut of the final production Veyron at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, the Veyron 001 joined the La Finale on the stage to mark 10 years of Veyron production.
RM Sotheby’s estimates the first Veyron built will fetch between $1,800,000 (€1.64 million) and $2,400,000 (€2.19 million).
