The Infiniti QX80 used to be a calm, gentle giant, but Larte Design transformed it into a behemoth.

Granted, it does look refined with this beautiful, dark-blue hue and the color actually emphasizes its presence. Anything lighter and the whole thing would have looked like something from a “Hungry, Hungry Hippos” game.

Whilst the dark-blue color does a great job “masking” the car’s real proportions and grotesque body-kit, the silver accents create a noticeable highlight, giving it a stylish vibe. Still, the new grille with v-shaped slats, the angular bumpers, the extra DRL lights and the additional intakes on the side makes it everything but graceful.

In fact, it could easily pass for one the most opulent vehicles on the planet, right now. The logo on the grille has been replaced with something similar to a coat of arms, for crying out loud…

Larte also installed a sophisticated stainless-steel exhaust system, finished off with quad tail-pipes, to go with the car’s looks. Furthermore, the Russian tuner states that the entire ensemble perfectly matches with the 22-inch alloys, while the spaces between the spokes makes them appear light and sporty. Well, they should thank Infiniti for creating them.

Even though the styling exercise makes the car look like it’s ready to devour everything in its path, the engine remains untouched. Still, there are 400 horses developed from the 5.6-litre V8; which may sound enough, but the car weighs 2,785 kg (6,140 lbs). That’s almost three and a half Smart Fortwos.
