Mercedes-Benz continues to keep the upcoming E-Class in the news by talking about the new model’s array of safety systems.
Following the video that explained the Remote Parking Pilot system and the detailed information about the “Intelligent Drive Next Level” set of safety systems, the automaker has now released a new video which shows how some of these technologies work.
Dr. Michael Hafner, Director Driver Assistance Systems and Active Safety, explains some of the E-Class’ sophisticated features such as the Pre-Safe Impulse Side system, which inflates an air cushion in the side bolster of the seat to give the passenger a slight push in case of a side impact, moving the passenger toward the middle of the cabin.
There’s also the Multibeam LED system that allows drivers to keep the high beam on at all times during night driving, without dazzling drivers of oncoming cars. Scroll down to find out how these systems work from the official video.
