Just like its Lexus LX sibling, the 2016 Toyota Land Cruiser 200 series is also up for a facelift this year.
These pictures, which come from the same Instagram account of hamad1two3 who nabbed the 2016 Lexus LX in the Middle East, give us a second look at the updated five-door Land Cruiser’s massaged rear end with restyled (LED?) tail lamps and tailgate, and more crucially, our first glimpse at the interior.
From this angle, we can only see the redesigned center console that now appears to house a larger infotainment screen (we’re not sure if the display is missing or if it’s broken in this unit) without any buttons on the side, and new switchgear. Another thing we noticed is that the current model’s monochromatic secondary thin screen has been scrapped.
An earlier leak had disclosed the 2016 Land Cruiser’s front with a bolder face featuring an oversized chrome grille, plus new bumper and headlight designs.
We still haven’t heard anything about the updated model’s hardware and whether it will retain its single engine offering, a 381hp 5.7-liter V8, in North America.
