Ever since Fiat Group CEO, Sergio Marchionne said that a Crossover/SUV is on its way after they launch the Giulia, we kept imagining what it might end up looking like.
Lucky us, there are people with a lot of talent out there able to give us glimpses into the future. This particular artist was curious to see what the Jaguar C-X17 concept would look like with an Alfa Romeo front end.
The result is pretty…convincing actually. If we didn’t know any better we’d be saying that we were looking at a real-life Alfa Romeo SUV.
The Alfa lines work great on the Jag concept body and the Giulia’s front end is pretty imposing, so yes, perhaps Alfa Romeo should keep some of that design alive on their SUV.
If you’re just looking at the picture of the silver car, you’ll have a harder time imagining an Alfa Romeo, as it looks too much like what it actually is, a Jaguar. The blue car however could fool just about anyone, though it’s (maybe) a bit too crossover-ish to take on the likes of the Audi Q5, BMW X3 and Mercedes-Benz GLC.
Alfa‘s planned SUV is set to debut at the end of next year, where it will be shortly followed by a flagship sedan in 2017.
What do you guys think, is this design both sporty and imposing enough, or would Alfa Romeo need to surprise us with something entirely different?
