Lexus seems like it wasn’t aiming for the BMW M4, Cadillac ATS-V sector when it launched the RC-F. The car is behind on power and in front on weight, and as you’d imagine this has an impact on its on-the-limit behavior on the track.
While by no means a bad car, this video by Cars.com makes it clear it’s not in the same league as the aforementioned two when it comes to performance.
When it comes to comparing the M4 and the ATS-V, it’s a much more difficult task, especially since the German car is not as widely loved as its direct predecessors. As a result, it seems that you have to choose between the two based on personal preference, as they both have pros and cons.
The Cadillac is ever so slightly softer in its setup and somehow more distinctive looking than the BMW from the outside. If it’s outright performance in the sector that you’re after, then you really have to test drive both before you buy.
