When you’re taking your team for a spin on the track and your name is Lewis Hamilton, you’re pretty much setting them up for an awesome time. Especially in something like the E63 AMG.
Sure, the E63 wouldn’t probably be Lewis’ first choice when it comes to something to have fun in. This time however he was joined by at least 3 other people that got see how easy it is for the reigning Formula 1 champ to handle a car with so much torque going towards its rear wheels.
Since Lewis states that this was the E63 AMG model, we’ll just go with what we know and won’t assume that it might have been the slightly more powerful E63 S.
Even so, the E63 is good for 557 PS and a monstrous 720 Nm (531 lb-ft) of torque, which makes drifting a heck of a lot easier – at least the first part of drifting, namely forcing the car to break traction.
Looking at the video, it feels downright comical how easy it is for Lewis to keep the car in check, especially on such a narrow part of the track.
It actually feels more like precision driving and less like fooling around – which might just be indistinguishable to an F1 driver.
The donuts part of the clip was also fun to watch, and trust us, a lot easier to do than drifting.
The Merc’s V8 engine sounds great too, even though it’s hard to tell since they probably recorded this stunt on a mobile device – which always flattens external noise.
