VW has released the updated Golf Cabriolet for 2016 with subtle styling changes to soft-top model’s exterior and interior along with an assortment of new colors.
According to the Germans, “the changes are easy to identify by the considerably sportier front bumper, the striking side sills and sporty accents on the rear bumper”.
Perhaps we’re missing something, but while we noticed the more sculpted rocket panels and the corner additions to the rear bumper in the official pics, we can’t see any changes to the front bumper over the 2015 models – can you?
Other than that, the 2016 model gains six new exterior shades, an additional soft-top color option, six new wheel designs, plus VW’s latest generation of steering wheels, fresh trim elements, and new designs for the cloth and leather seats inside.
Back in May this year, VW had updated the Golf Cabriolet’s engine range with EU6-compliant units, which include four TSI petrols, a 105PS (104hp) 1.2-liter, a 125PS (123hp) 1.4-liter, a 150PS (148hp) 1.4-liter and a 220PS (217hp) 2.0-liter, and a pair of 2.0-liter TDI diesels producing 110PS (109hp) and 150PS (148hp).
