With the official reveal of the Mercedes-AMG C63 Coupe only two days away, it won’t come as a surprise that two photos showing the C63 S version have surfaced on the internet. Apparently taken during a presentation, the images don’t offer big surprises.
Mercedes’ smallest coupe gets the obligatory AMG aero kit with bulged wheel arches, a more aggressive front bumper design with larger air intakes, as well as a rear diffuser and spoiler. Some of the distinctive AMG styling bits on the car are painted black, including the alloy wheels, mirror caps, front and rear spoilers, door sills and diffuser.
There shouldn’t be any surprises on the tech front either. The Mercedes-AMG C63 Coupe will be powered by a turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine producing 476PS (470hp) in the base model and 510PS (503hp) in the C63 S Coupe. In both cases, the engine will be mated to an AMG Speedshift MCT 7-speed sport transmission with paddle shifters sending power to the rear wheels via a limited slip differential.
