Even though the Audi RS4 B7 isn’t the type of car we’re used to seeing when checking out the latest in custom wheels treatments, it’s still something that’s very close to our hearts.
The B7 RS4 was a very important car for Audi back when it came out in 2006. Until then, fans were starved for an RS version of the B6 model, so naturally everybody jumped right onto the bandwagon as soon as Audi announced that their new sports sedan would come with a monstrous 4.2 liter 420 PS naturally aspirated engine.
I think you know that the rest is history and that this car and this engine in particular, have won numerous awards within the media and the automotive industry. In fact, in 2007, the RS4 edged out the Porsche 911 Turbo, 911 GT3, Ferrari 599 GTB, Jaguar XKR and even its larger sibling the S6, in order to win the ‘World Performance Car’ award.
If you ever drove one, you’d understand why. The 4.2 liter FSI engine was an absolute joy to rev, whereas the straight line speed was mind-blowing. You could hit 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.8 seconds – which at the time was right up there with most exotic supercars.
You could also get it with a manual transmission, which personally I didn’t like as much as I did the automatic, but it was for practical reasons and not performance-related.
In terms of wheels, here we have the B7 RS4 riding on custom ADV5 Track Function rims with exposed hardware, measuring 20×10 both front and rear.
It’s a somewhat simple, yet classic design that hardly ever ages with time. Kind of like this RS4.
