Another week, another bespoke Rolls Royce model, although it’s been some time since we saw a proper old-school configured Roller.
This Phantom means business. It is luxury straight to the point, like a solid piece of hard, polished diamond, lacking the playful color accents and warmth of most custom-commissioned models. To make matters even more serious, the customer went for the EWB variant – an extended wheelbase titan of opulence.
There something sinister about a black EWB Phantom, mainly because its thick C-Pillar makes it looks like a luxury casket made for carrying outdated, “hard-to-digest” old richness. Fortunately, this model doesn’t comply with the confined luxury standards – barely – although its meaty, slightly de-saturated art-deco style is overwhelming.
According to Rolls Royce, this is bespoke variant is called Zahra and was inspired by traditional arts motifs and the customer’s passion for arts and culture. It sports all of Rolls-Royce’s signature traits, including the Starlight Roof.
Privacy curtains and a privacy wall seclude the already concealed white interior, gracefully complemented by the embroidered motifs and blackened accents. Even the clock could be consider a masterpiece of craftsmanship, as the British car manufacturer never ceases to impress us with its attention to details.
