No, this isn’t a post about Audi, it’s about Cadillac, but it could very well be as the latter is announcing a propensity to launch more high-riding models in the future – the only way to go to stay in business these days, it seems.
After announcing that Cadillac would benefit from greater autonomy from General Motors, company CEO Johan de Nysschen spares some details as to what will comprise the company’s future range, in order to help it sell half a million cars annually by 2020.
By the, the plan, according to the Detroit Free Press, is to add five new crossovers to the range, a new subcompact model as well as three redesigns of vehicles already on sale.
Currently, Cadillac is missing out on the only apparent source of growth in the luxury sector – crossovers and SUVs of which it has just one of each in the range: the SRX-replacing ST5 (pictured) and the Escalade.
