If you visit the official Formula 1 page frequently, then you probably know about their ‘Dream Team’ feature, where drivers and officials give their thoughts on how their perfect team would look like.

The feature is updated daily, but so far we’ve had a few very interesting nominations, especially those from reigning champ Lewis Hamilton and F1 boss Bernie Ecclestone.

Hamilton’s idea of a dream team apparently consists of having Ayrton Senna and Juan Manuel Fangio driving the Mclaren-Honda MP4/4, with Bernie Ecclestone as the team boss.

Meanwhile, Ecclestone chose the Brabham BT49 as his go-to car, with drivers Jochen Rindt and Fernando Alonso behind the wheel. His ideal team principal would be Flavio Briatore.

It’s not surprising to see Lewis choose the MP4/4, a car that was so dominant back in its day. But Ecclestone went with the beautiful Brabham BT49 which claimed 7 wins, 6 poles and 15 podiums between 1979 and 1982. Strong, but not exactly dominant.

Red Bull Motorsport consultant Helmut Marko decided to go with the Williams FW148, RBR’s Christian Horner as his Team Boss and Ayrton Senna and Sebastian Vettel as his drivers. Can’t say any of this is surprising though.

The Williams FW148 made another appearance, this time in Lotus’ Romain Grosjean picks, which also included drivers Ayrton Senna and Jules Bianchi, as well as having Frank Williams be in charge.

Christian Horner is the latest to call in his picks, confirming Nigel Mansell and Sebastian Vettel as his drivers, Bernie Ecclestone as his Team Boss and of course, the Williams FW148 as his ideal car.

Hopefully, there will be a lot more new picks in the coming days, so stay tuned!
