Currently, the BMW X6 M is one of the world’s top SUVs in terms of performance and agility. So what can be better than giving it even more of a boost?
In G-Power terms, that boost comes in the form of an extra 84 PS and 80.6 Nm (59 lb-ft) of torque that most certainly makes the X6 M even more rewarding to drive.
In total we’re looking at 659 PS (650 HP) and 830 Nm (612 lb-ft) arriving via the G-Power Bi-Tronik 5 V1 power module, or the equivalent Bi-Tronik 2 V1 ECU remap, each with its own specific advantages.
With these mods, the X6 M is now capable of hitting speeds upward of 300 km/h (186 mph), which is really impressive in a car this size.
The power module actually remains inactive under partial load conditions. However, when you press down on the throttle all the way, it triggers the unique fueling, ignition and boost curves that create the additional 84 PS and 80 Nm of torque.
That’s actually really clever, since it helps with fuel economy as well.
While it’s unclear how the X6 M’s 0-100 km/h times would look after the module is installed, my guess is that it’s not quite a 3-second car yet. Keep in mind, it does weigh over 2.3 tons.
But perhaps further mods might do the trick.
