With 707 horsepower stock, one wonders what a light breeze of engine tuning might do to the Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat’s output. The 6.2-liter Hemi V8 is already supercharged, which means there is definitely more to extract.
Hennessey is now offering a kit for the Charger Hellcat, called HPE850, which boosts the horsepower up to 852. Translated into wheel horsepower, it’s more like 741 hp, but it’s still around 100 more than the stock car’s 639 figure.
Mods are kept light: new and remapped ECU, a high-flow air filter, a lower pulley upgrade, a port machined throttle body and a ported supercharger housing.
They haven’t posted any performance figures for the pack yet, but a dyno video was published.
We’re pretty sure the Charger Hellcat can’t sprint that much faster to sixty, even with the extra power. Maybe with some upgraded rubber it could, but otherwise it will just be even better at making tire smoke.
