Homespun Audi TT Mk1 With A Face Very Few Could Love

Have you ever seen a first-generation Audi TT like this one? We’re guessing that’s a definite no.

The crew over from Automotorblog sent over these pictures believing it’s a “sensational prototype” for an “Audi Cabriolet”, but I’m pretty certain that’s the glasshouse, top, fuel-cap and mirrors from the original TT Roadster Mk1 of the late 1990s, early 2000s.

The rest of what you see on the body has been fabricated with possible influences from the R8, the RSQ Concept from the 2004 “i, ROBOT” film starring Will Smith, and perhaps even a hint of the 2001 Seat Tango roadster study.
