Yes, the video posted below courtesy of Cracked is an exaggeration and paints a grim picture of top auto exec mentality, but what it really shows is that marketing is crucial to survive; it’s not some side gimmick designed to boost sales – it makes or breaks the sales.
Had marketing just stuck to its original goal of highlighting the technical details and putting them in context for the potential buyer, without trying to win over the heart, then the choice would be different (and more informed).
