The fact that the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport uses the word “sport” in its name doesn’t mean anything – after all, we’re talking about a model based on the L200/Triton pickup truck.
Since automakers (mainly those who build premium models) appear to be seduced by the “coupe SUV” segment, Photoshop manipulator Theophilus Chin has thought about giving the Pajero Sport a virtual coupe variant. This is purely an exercise of imagination, as Mitsubishi has no plans for such a model.
With that in mind, I have to say the renderings don’t make me regret the fact that a Pajero Sport Coupe will never exist. While beautifully executed, the images show an all too familiar silhouette that honestly I don’t care much for. Here’s hoping that the mainstream coupe SUV doesn’t become a thing in the coming years.
