It’s no secret that Suzuki was prepping a production variant of the iM-4 Concept to debut within the next 24 months.
Moreover, details about its unchanged exterior design have been confirmed thanks to these patents over from AlVolante.it. That said, maybe the car will come sooner than anticipated, completing an all-new new line-up inaugurated by the Baleno.

As you can see, the car depicted in the patents doesn’t really differ from the prototype unveiled back in March at Geneva – besides a few minor style changes here and there. But then again, smaller rims, normal side mirrors and regular door handles were bound to be used on a car with a starting price of around £11,000 ($17,225) in the UK.

Its styling is very reminiscent of the boxy 70s – 80s design, heavily influenced by the Suzuki SC 100 Whizzkid Coupe of the 1970s. And of course, by the time it will reach production, there’s a big chance the little guy won’t be called iM-4, as its bigger sibling – the iK-2 – blossomed in the upcoming Baleno model.

Due to a possible 2wd or 4wd configuration, the iM-4 will reportedly challenge Fiat’s Panda model, especially the 4×4 version.
