Both French companies have a huge history in making some of the most exciting small cars in the motoring history, with their latest offerings rivaling each other for one more time.
Renault’s Clio RS 220 Trophy is the souped-up version of the regular 200 version, featuring 20 extra hp, an up to 50 per cent faster double-clutch transmission and a stiffened and lowered by 20mm chassis in order to offer the best thrills possible behind its wheel.
On the other hand, Peugeot’s 208 GTI by Peugeot Sport (stupid name, I know) represents the top of the 208 GTI range, offering 208hp from its turbocharged 1.6-litre engine and a Torsen limited slip differential, but using a six-speed manual gearbox in between.
Auto Express pits the two French hotties in order to find out which one is faster. Can the Clio beat the old-school 208?
