As if the odds of us seeing a real-life Talisman RS saloon weren’t slim enough, this Estate version just had to rear its curious-looking…rear, and get us thinking.

We should know by now that in the automotive industry it’s never a good idea to use the word “never”. But I’m feeling pretty confident that we’ll never see a Talisman RS Estate – in fact, so confident that if they actually build it, I’m going to print out this article and pretend to eat it.

Seriously though, you’ll probably need to “settle” for the TCe 200 version of the Talisman if you want to extract as much performance as you can from this model, regardless of body type.

Besides, you can’t honestly say that this rendering looks better than the regular car that was just recently unveiled.

What I want to point out though is how close the Talisman Grand Tour rendering that we showed you last month, came to the real thing. It’s quite uncanny! The only thing that’s somewhat different is the C-pillar area, but even that’s hard to notice while staring at both the rendering and the finished product.

Also, I speculated that Renault wouldn’t keep that “pseudo-trunk lid spoiler” and go with a different taillight design and I was way off on both… Oh well, it’s not a bad looking thing overall. And not getting an RS version could just as well be a blessing in disguise for those of you thinking you might have enjoyed one.
