You know what I like most about Rolls-Royce’s bespoke program? The fact that an array of motifs can be covered using the same basic form and a plethora of colors and materials. In fact, it’s mind-blowing to see how a few added details can entirely change a car’s character, making a Phantom – for example – completely different from another, even if both are basically the same automobile.
This two-tone Orchid White and Arabian Blue Phantom is the latest bespoke Roller in a vast line of limited-edition automobiles governed by the Spirit of Ecstasy. Moreover, as you can probably tell, the car is inspired by the clean lines and fresh colors of a classic yacht.
The vehicle’s motif is subtly incorporated in the hand-painted, pinstriped coachline, with anchors governing the decoration at port and starboard. Aboard, the nautical theme can be easily distinguished in the Phantom’s cabin thanks to the white instruments, the Tudor Oak veneer and Boxwood inlays. Needless, to say, the entire interior, especially the center console, reminds us of high-end naval architecture. At the stern, the Forest Fall leather complemented by the Navy Blue piping and Tudor Oak trims have something to do with the car’s maritime vibe, and knowing how large a Phantom is, we’re actually surpised it doen’s come with a dinghy.
No nautical inspired Roller would be complete without a bespoke instrument – in this case a stunning unique compass hidden in the cigar/pen drawer of the dashboard. We don’t know what takes to be the skipper of this here vessel, but we’re thinking a very healthy bank account is a good start. That said, we’re off to find a treasure chest, so we can get our hands on this thing asap.
