The Spec B is not a car you hear often about, although it is pretty good so it could be called a well kept secret.
It’s not an outright driver’s car, but it is a proper performance sedan, with all-wheel drive, trick suspension from the Impreza WRX and the turbocharged four-banger from the same model.
This particular example, driven in the video by EverydayDriver, has had its engine turbocharged, after an unfortunate failure during an acceleration run.
After the total engine rebuild, this one has been tuned to make 330 hp and it’s probably a very different experience to driving the naturally-aspirated six-pot boxer Legacys more commonly come with.
The SpecB also came in wagon variant, although that one never officially came to the US, and in Europe it didn’t come with the engine from the WRX.
