Even if it’s not a real Formula 1 circuit, it could very well be the best.
That’s because this Scalextric track features the best corners, chicanes and sections from the 2015 Formula 1 calendar.

To make matters even more interesting, Martin Brundle – former Le Mans winner and Formula 1 driver – was responsible for the track’s layout, making it just as he imagined the perfect circuit would look like.

That said, notable motorsports landmarks can be found on the slot car track set, including Monza’s Ascari chicane, Monaco’s Casion Square, Canada’s Wall of Champions, Silverstone’s Copse and Abu Dhabi’s Marina Complex.

Moreover, looking through the pictures we instantly spotted Suzuka’s crossover bridge and even Martin himself mentioned it:

“The team challenged me to design my dream circuit using sections from the 19 F1® races in 2015, all of which will be live on Sky Sports F1®. I immediately wanted a figure of ‘8’ like our beloved Suzuka, and could only dream of driving a series of corners such as scaling the mountain up to turn one in Austin before falling through the ‘Senna S’ of Brazil and towards Silverstone’s fearsome Copse corner. And that’s just a small section. Now amazingly, we’ve built a model and so I will revert to my childhood for many laps. It’s going to get competitive.”

The whole rig is 45 meters long and made out of 177 pieces – complex stuff. Hornby Hobbies, the company that owns and distributes the Scalextric, brand donated the contraption to Children in Need – BBC’s UK Charity. The track will feature as part of Classic Car Auction’s… auction and is offered with no reserve, with 100% of the proceeds from the sale going to the charity.
