Most of the cars that participate at the Sun Valley Road Rally get to show-off their top speed capabilities on a closed public road.
And guess what a couple of Veyrons managed to do this year? Yep; they went as fast as hell.
Take for example the L’or Rouge Veyron in the first video. Apart from its “Darth Maul” paint job, this very, very exclusive Bugatti – nicknamed the ‘Hellbug’ – stood out from the crowd with its gruesome performance. Needless to say, it was clocked at 378 Km/h (235 Mph).
What makes it more spectacular is the fact it’s a Vitesse – remove the roof and you’ve got yourself a roadster.
Anyway, if you find that impressive, then you might want to check the third video. It’s from 2014, but oh boy does it put the sheer speed a Veyron can carry on a stretch of road into perspective. That’s because the car actually reached 396.5 Km/h (246.4 Mph).
Truth be told, the Veyron looks in its element while ludicrously speeding and the sound it makes at full throttle, cutting through the air is outstanding. It’s like it was made to do this. In fact, you kind of expect it at any moment to make a sonic boom, even though it’s 829 Km/h away from reaching Mach 1.
It’s 2015 and the Veyron still remains a mind boggling fast machine.
