Cadillac’s all-new 2017 XT5 crossover will have its world debut at the Dubai Motor Show in November, the automaker confirmed.

The replacement for the SRX will first drop by the auto show in the Middle East before making its first appearance in North America at the Los Angeles Auto Show later that month.

The carmaker also said it will release some photos and details of the 2017 XT5 in the coming days. The current SRX is a very important model for Cadillac, as the brand’s best-selling model worldwide, despite having launched in 2009.

This makes the upcoming XT5 all the more important. Cadillac has big expectations from the new model, which will be “the cornerstone of a series of crossovers bearing the ‘XT’ designation,” according to a company statement. The Cadillac XT5 is all-new and believed to be based on GM’s new front- and all-wheel drive architecture dubbed “C1XX”. Power is likely to come from an updated 3.6-liter V6 gasoline engine and possibly a hybrid unit as well.
