Need more proof that Alfa Romeo’s new Giulia is coming States-side? Okay, we…won’t blame you if you do, but seeing the sports sedan testing here in the USA is a reassuring sign.
It was photographed by Carscoops’ reader John M. in Las Vegas.
“During my recent holiday in Las Vegas, I spotted the new Alfa Romeo Giulia being tested,” he told us. “The photos are not the best quality as I was taking them from inside a moving limo with my camera zoomed in 25x. This was actually the first time in my life that I have seen a prototype car!”
Well, here’s hoping to more sightings in the future, John!
Back to the Alfa, the incorporated boot spoiler and the stacked exhausts tell us that this is the top dog in the range, the BMW M3 and Cadillac ATS-V fighting Giulia QV with a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 preliminary rated for 510PS or 503hp, and which is the only model we’ve seen up until now.
The Giulia will celebrate its first public outing at the Frankfurt auto show later this month, and while Alfa officials won’t say when it will go on sale in North America, it’s believed to arrive on our shores in late 2016.
A tip of the hat to John M. for the spy shooting!
