Chirs Harris strolled through the Frankfurt motor show, shooting his favorite cars for a video which he also peppered with a refreshed Mercedes A45 AMG track review.
The Frankfurt premieres have already been discussed, so we’ll pay closer attention to the Mercedes review. The A45 now comes with more power (381 hp) and also shorter gearing from 4th onward.
This is supposed to make the acceleration feel more relentless as you shift up through the gears, and Harris seems to be on board with the idea noting that it does make a difference.
The extra power also helps, and Harris is definitely right in saying there aren’t many cars that could keep up with the A45 on a damp, twisty country road. The car’s Haldex-type all-wheel drive system isn’t the most playful in the world, but you can get the tail out if you jerk the wheel into a corner.
