Of course there’s room of a much harder, state-of-the-art, asphalt-munching Koenigsegg – there always is.

You got to love the Swedish auto maker; not only for its passion for simple, straightforward and efficient engineering, but also for its involvement and connection with its fans and customers.

When Christian von Koenigsegg started his car-building business, he had only one goal:  to make Koenigsegg the best at what it does. And by God, the firm almost represents everything that’s holly in the motoring industry – speed, power, engineering, design and exclusivity.

After seeing the Regera braking almost every possible rule from the rulebook, one would wonder what does Konigsegg has installed for the future. Well, when asked whether or not Koenigsegg would consider building a track only-variant of the One:1 in an AMA session, Mr Konigsegg himself stated:

“That is something we are thinking about. But it wouldn’t be a One:1 because that was optimized as a road car with incredible track performance. This would be a track-only car, which therefore has a different philosophy.”

A no compromise tack-only car, we might add, as the Swedish car maker doesn’t quite fancy the limited, ballast equalizing, FIA approved racing cars.

Unfortunately, we won’t see a new Trevita anytime soon, because the white carbon-fiber body is a pain to work with, as Christian von Koenigsegg puts it:

“We have thought about it and we still have a little of the material left, but the simple answer is “no”. It was such a pain to work with! I won’t go into the difficulties here but suffice to say that while the result was stunning, the materials were almost impossible to work with and it’s a positive for our owners that it’s such a rare edition. Even more rare than first thought.”

That said, the agreement is settled, there are actually two Koenigsegg Trevitas made, rather than three – talk about exclusivity. If you want to delve more into Konigsegg’s world, head on to their blog and follow the Ask-me-Anything sessions.
