After a traumatic event, like a car accident, people often feel shock, and sometimes are in denial about what took place or who is at fault. It happens.

This young woman in a white Chevrolet Cruze sedan was certainly in denial after she unlawfully pulled out of a McDonald’s lot causing a crash with an oncoming car in Washington.

Luckily for the other driver, he had a GPS camera that not only filmed the incident, but also recorded his speed at the time, which was just under the 35mph (56 km/h) road limit – though, we’re not entirely sure if the recording can be admitted as evidence in court.

“Why didn’t you stop?” ponders the woman from inside the car. “What are you talking about?” says the other driver who walks towards her with his camera in hand.

“Why didn’t you stop?” repeats the woman, with the man asking, “Why did you get out?”.

“I had enough room you were speeding – sir,” says the woman. “I had enough room, you were speeding”, she continues. “I was speeding?” asks the man.

The woman exits the car and looks at the broken bumper before going into denial-overload: “No, no, this is not me. You were speeding. No, no, nope, nope, nope.”

That’s a lucky Toyota Sienna by the way, and kudos to the passenger of the Cruze sedan for being the only person involved in this accident who had the decency to ask the other person if he was hurt…
