Land Rover may very well have the cutest car on display at this week’s Frankfurt Motor Show with their Defender Pedal Car.
While labeled a concept, it actually previews a hand-built pedal car model that will go on sale in spring of 2016 to celebrate over 60 years of Defender production.
The Frankfurt study sports a rolled–edge aluminum frame with individual chassis number, while the exterior is finished in same Loire Blue used on the full-size Defender. Inside, it gets leather trimmed seats and steering wheel. It comes equipped with a spring suspension and working brakes – complete with a parking brake.
Jaguar Land Rover’s Director of Branded and Licensed Goods Lindsay Weaver commented: “This is both a wonderful collector’s piece and children’s toy. It demonstrates our ability to produce goods with world class quality and attention to detail that can emulate our world class Jaguar and Land Rover cars.”
Land Rover hasn’t put a price on it yet, but whenever we hear the word ‘collector’, we tend to think of something aimed at deep pockets…
