Fiat Chrysler Automobiles’ parts and accessories arm Mopar has brought three Jeep show cars to Frankfurt to showcase the personalization potential of each model.
These are the Wrangler Rubicon Sunriser, Cherokee KrawLer and a Renegade Trailhawk loaded with accessories.
Based on the Trailhawk version, the Jeep Cherokee KrawLer show car was created to tackle the toughest driving conditions, with its name hinting at “rock crawlers” that are designated to climb over the harshest off-road obstacles.
The show car features a raised ground clearance to allow for extreme off-road use, with the Cherokee KrawLer also featuring special Mopar equipment such as an off-road suspension, BF Goodrich KM2 255/80/17 off-road tyres, wider wings, skid plates and platforms under the doors.
The Cherokee KrawLer sports a Matt Green body as a tribute to Jeep Brand’s Heritage, as well as quartz grey interior and exterior details. The show car is powered by a 272hp 3.2-liter Pentastar V6 engine mated to an automatic nine-speed transmission and “Jeep Active Drive Lock” four-wheel drive with low range and rear differential lock.
Another spectacular appearance is the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Sunriser show car, which features exclusive Matt Orange paintwork in addition to Mopar accessories specifically designed for this vehicle.
These include the bumpers specifically designed for off-roading (fitted with a double tow hook on the front), the off-road wings, the 4-inch suspension lift kit and the half doors. The engine skid plate and beadlock wheels also highlight the rugged nature of the vehicle.
The LED lights fitted between the A-pillar and windscreen are doubled by LED daytime running lights and LED taillights. Inside, the rugged Wrangler Rubicon Sunriser gets black leather customized with matte fluorescent orange trim which matches the color of the bodywork.
The show car is powered by a 2.8-liter CRD diesel engine mated to a five-speed automatic transmission.
Finally, the third show car is a Jeep Renegade Trailhawk kitted with Mopar accessories including 17-inch aluminium alloy rims, underbody skid plates, two rear tow hooks, black mirror caps and Anvil body color. Inside, Mopar added sporty pedals and Jeep design mats.
