The all-new Vauxhall Astra, sold as Opel on continental Europe, has just received its official pricing information for the UK market. Once it reaches showrooms in October of this year, you will be asked to part with at least £15,295 to get one of your very own.
The full pricing details can be found in the list below, but aside from those it promises to be “lighter than ever before, with new powertrains and cutting-edge technology, the new Astra is set to shake up the C-segment when it arrives in showrooms this autumn,” according to Tim Tozer, Vauxhall Chairman and Managing Director.
Engine lineups will kick off with 100 PS units, which in petrol guise we assume refer to the naturally aspirated 1.4-liter 16v engine, while in the diesel corner the base unit will be a new 1.6-liter CDTI with 110 PS.
However, with around 200 kg less weight (on average) than its predecessor, it will be faster, more frugal and more agile – we’ll see if the first reviews confirm this.
