These are the first official photos of Seat’s Leon Cross Sport Concept, which will debut tomorrow at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
As you can see from the photos, this is hardly a concept car and more a pre-production model based on the Leon SC three-door hatch. The Leon Cross Sport is said to explore a combination between the performance of the Leon Cupra and the versatility of the Leon X-Perience.
That’s because the Leon Cross Sport is powered by the Leon Cupra’s 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine, slightly uprated to 300PS and 380Nm of torque.
Since the engine sends power to all four wheels via a latest-generation Haldex AWD system and a DSG transmission, the Leon Cross Sport is able to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds.
In terms of styling, the Leon Cross Sport features black body elements on the bumpers, door sills and wheel arches which, combined with the 41mm higher ride height, give it a more rugged appearance. The interior features orange details that echo the car’s body color.
Expect more details in the coming hours when Seat will go official with the Leon Cross Sport.
