Some SUVs are just made for ultra-modern, super secret law enforcement agencies, and the way this Startech Land Rover Discovery Sport is looking, we might say we found its calling.
Seriously now, what we have here is a genuinely sportier version of the standard Discovery Sport, which already comes with a very impressive exterior design – something most people seem to agree on.
The predominant colors are gray and black and that makes for a great contrast, especially with the tailor-made 22″ black wheels. Mods include a new front spoiler, rear diffuser, side skirts, as well as extra LED strips and well integrated exhaust tips.
In terms of performance, you get Startech’s PowerXtra SD22 update, which bumps the 2.2 liter turbodiesel unit’s power up to 210 PS and 460 Nm (339 lb-ft). In a straight line, this will get you from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in a respectable 8.9 seconds. Also, potential customers will be happy to hear that this performance mod is backed by a comprehensive 3-year/100,000km warranty.
Inside the Startech Discovery Sport, you’ll find quality leather and Alcantara, as well as the optional wood and carbon trim. Startech also say that there are virtually no limits to the possible color schemes and surface finishes – which is always nice to hear when you’ve got your mind set on customizing your car.
