If you were in New York City last week, you could have got a free Uber ride in a Dodge Charger designed to look like a Stormtrooper Hot Wheels car.
Eight Star Wars First Order Stormtrooper Dodge Chargers were lent to Uber NYC on September 4 and gave free rides to customers who used the HOTWHEELSFF code.
The Dodge Charger was chosen by Hot Wheels because it “embodies the look and feel of the Hot Wheels Stormtrooper diecast car and is sure to turn heads when traversing on the streets of NYC on Force Friday.”
You’ve probably guessed by now that the publicity stunt was for the “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” movie, marking the official debut of merchandise from the film. The seventh chapter in the Star Wars saga wil be released on December 18 in the U.S. and several other countries.
