The Bentley Continental GT3-R is not your usual special edition of the successful British Gran Turismo.
Built as the road-version of the GT3 racer, the Continental GT3-R is 100kg lighter (220lbs) than the normal GT V8 S, with the biturbo 4.0-litre V8 making 592hp for about 15 seconds with the right pedal buried into the carpet thanks to an overboost function while the rest of the time, the driver must compromise with just 572hp.
Despite the diet though, the GT3-R still weighs almost the same as a light truck, tipping the scales at 2,195kg or 4,839lbs, so it’s not what you call a lightweight. Not even close. But it’s loud, brash and has the attitude you would expect from a Bentley and some more.
MT reviews the most British Bentley ever, with Jason Cammisa doing a great job at explaining why this heavy, huge and conservative GT is way more fun than you would expect.
