One of Hyundai’s latest concepts made its European debut in Frankfurt and it’s none other than the Vision G concept.
The Vision G previews the future design language of Hyundai’s upcoming premium models. The two-door coupe is the brainchild of the company’s designer teams in North America, Asia and Europe which collaborated in creating a design language that makes the car “noticed and respected, without being excessively exuberant”.
Hyundai’s chief designer Peter Schreyer said that the “Vision G represents a fresh interpretation of Hyundai Motor’s characteristic approach of balancing design and performance, expressed in a way that isn’t overburdened with glitz and stereotypical luxury cues.”
Despite being powered by a 420hp 5.0-litre V8 petrol engine, the Vision G focuses on offering the best possible cruising experience, with the engine tuned to produce a flatter torque curve at lower rpm for even better driveability.
Hyundai has filled the Vision G concept with its latest interior tech, like the ‘Remote Wheel’ control panel and the ‘Curved Display’ digital instrument cluster. The first one is a touch-sensitive panel with gesture interaction to control the vehicle’s infotainment system while the second is Hyundai’s take on the latest instrument dial’s trend.
The Vision G is also said to feature functions like an Autonomous Driving system and Driver State Monitoring, letting us know what kind of tech Hyundai is currently developing for its future flagships.
