Christian von Koenigsegg is a Tesla Model S P85+ driver, but his reasons for buying don’t necessarily have to do with the performance.
He says the car’s advantages over a conventional sedan of the same size are the acceleration response, the packaging and extra space it has as well. Mr. Koeningsegg bought it strictly as a family car and for practical reasons.
Apparently, being electric wasn’t at the top of the priorities list, but that through being electric it had a whole host of other advantages. He also mentions the weight distribution and the very low center of gravity the Model S has.
The numbers say it’s about as low as that of a Ferrari 458 Italia. In the case of the Model S, this translates into minimal roll through the corners and a more planted feel.
