There’s a thin line between Bronze and Gold and when it comes to custom wheels, it’s always best if you know not just how to walk it, but also when not to match those wheels up with black car.
These, by the way, are the exact same wheels we saw on a red Ferrari 458 Italia a couple of months ago, where they didn’t exactly stand out as much as they do now – since that contrast was a bit off. That “problem” doesn’t exist here since this California is proudly wearing Nero Daytona on the outside.
The brown interior kind of matches the wheels, which are struggling a bit to look aggressive with those yellow calipers getting in the way. Bronze & yellow cancel each other out – same problem as with that 458, except that with different components.
And yes, we can call them bronze instead of gold, thanks to the brushed surface. But does it work overall? It might if it matches your taste in cars or art, but in terms of looking aggressive…let’s just say that’s not what this particular car is about.
Thankfully, it can really “get up and go” as aggressively as you want thanks to its V8. Judging by the fact that this car doesn’t have a silver front grille (which is what the updated 490 PS 2012 model received), it’s safe to say that we’re looking at the older 460 PS model, which also came with 485 Nm (358 lb-ft) of torque.
Even so, putting your foot down would in this car would still get you from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4 seconds flat – and that’s really fast even by today’s standards.
