Even though we’ve seen some really cool Nissan GT-R photo shoots this year, none of them featured a Formula 1 track in the background. Welcome to Bahrain International Circuit.

The Nissan GT-R stayed pretty busy in 2015. We saw it strike a couple of marvelous poses in Hawaii, crash into another car because of some D-bag in a Ferrari 458, set a 1/4 mile world record thanks to an AMS Alpha Omega tune and wear a set of brushed matte bronze Strasse wheels.

Even by today’s standards, it’s hard to think of a supercar that offers better bang-for-buck than Godzilla. And no, crazy fast straight line oriented muscle cars such as the Challenger Hellcat don’t count here – we’re talking precision instruments.

As you’re probably well aware, pulling gold off is very difficult in the automotive industry. Chances are you’ll come off looking silly or like you’re trying to hard to stand out. This carbon & gold combo however is probably as great as one could expect and while there may still be some who dislike this GT-R’s appearance, the car does come off as looking really, really aggressive.

On top of everything, the owner chose not to have any kitschy gold inserts on the inside, so we should at least give him some props for that. The gold headlight surrounds are also pretty interesting, as are the 21″ ADV1 wheels, measuring 21×10.5 at the front and a whooping 21×12.5 at the rear.

The images are nice to look at as well, especially since some, if not most of the shots were captured at the Bahrain International Circuit. That’s definitely one way to captures stills of your supercar – bring it to your local Formula 1 track. It will look and feel right at home.
