One clever way to interact with images while browsing on your smartphone is by relying on its built-in gyroscope. With this in mind, Citroen has decided to bring the new C1 closer to our fingertips.

This clever marketing tool uses the Fyuse spacial photography application, which Citroen has implemented for the first time in their digital communications. Is this a fun and exciting way to promote a cute little city car? We don’t see why not.

The app uses your smartphone’s gyroscope (which detects movement) for “spacial photography” purposes. What this means is that you can view the C1 interactively from different angles just by swiping your finger on the screen or turning the smartphone – as if you were playing a 3D game.

Speaking of playing, the Airscape sunroof is really fun to open and close, but you can check out the app for yourselves by hitting this link.

The Citroen C1 is a very customizable car, as potential clients can get it with personalized two-tone finishes – always popular. It also has impressive safety features for such a small car, like the Active City Brake which helps you avoid collisions at low speed. Plus you get a Lane Departure Warning system, which comes in handy if you do a lot of zipping around traffic and need to pay more attention, or if you simply want to feel safer when driving on the motorway.

In terms of engines, you get two petrol units, where the VTi 68 can be had with either a manual transmission, an ETG (5 speed auto) or a S&S manual. The top of the range model would be the PureTech 82 version, though don’t expect to crack the 100 km/h (62 mph) barrier anywhere under 10 seconds.
