If you watched any of this year’s Formula E races and wouldn’t like to change anything, then get ready as the second season has a few major modifications planned.
This will be the first time the teams are allowed to develop their own powertrain, and with this we are promised unique sound signatures for each cars.
New drivers are also joining in, the most famous of which is (of 1997)Formula 1 champion Jacques Villeneuve.
In other Formula E news, actor and director Leonardo DiCaprio joined the series’ Sustainability Committee. He is outspoken about being an environmentalist, so promoting an electric racing series is right up his alley.
When asked why he chose to join, DiCaprio said he “was drawn to the fact that that Formula E only races in city centers. I’m concerned about cities,” adding that “they represent an environmental time bomb”.
