For one-day only – today, October 19, Uber users in New York, Miami, Chicago and LA will be able to get complimentary rides in the all-new BMW 7-Series, ahead of its October 24 retail launch.
This past weekend, 7-Series customers also received exclusive and on-demand test drives through the Uber app, though all the action took place in the previously mentioned markets, not nation-wide.
Starting at 12 PM local time today, lucky Uber users get the chance to ride in the car, driven to a destination of their choice by a BMW Product Specialist, which means that he’ll be able to take even some of your most technical questions about BMW’s new flagship model, and come up with appropriate answers.
Jason Chan, 6 & 7 Series Product Manager for BMW North America said that “With our new 7 Series being the most innovative vehicle in its class, it’s only fitting that we partnered with Uber to offer a unique and exciting way to experience our flagship model prior to retail launch.”
“We couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate the launch of the BMW 7 Series than by offering Uber riders the unique chance to upgrade their ride and are thrilled to partner with BMW on this first-of-a-kind experience,” added Amy Friedlander Hoffman, head of business & marketing at Uber.
As things stand right now in the full-size premium segment, the BMW 7 Series truly does offer the most innovative features when compared to its direct rivals, though, US customers looking to upgrade will need to part with at least $82,295 MSRP in order land an “entry-level” 740i. The top of the range 750i xDrive model costs upwards of $97,400 MSRP according to the BMW USA website.
