If there’s one thing you can count on in a James Bond movie, is that he’ll never run out of witty comebacks whenever the villain starts sounding smug.
Thanks to this final trailer for Spectre, we not only get to see some snappy dialog, but also a couple of new action sequences that weren’t in any of the previous trailers, teasers or TV spots.
In fact, even though the first official trailer was more than twice as long as this final one, it had a more action-movie vibe to it, than a genuine Bond movie vibe, which we do get here. The fast paced editing towards the end also helps make that happen – a gimmick used in the Quantum of Solace trailer and the Skyfall trailer as well.
On a personal note, the obvious CGI they use when they show the plane chasing after those cars near the end, kind of cheapens the experience, but at least the helicopter stunts were real. Speaking of CGI, that building collapsing from under 007 looks pretty good, and it does leave us wondering how on earth is he going to get out of it. But knowing Craig’s Bond, he’ll probably fall and still be OK – remember how he ran through a wall at the beginning of Casino Royale? Yeah.
Lucky for us, we’ll experience all that action soon enough as Spectre is set to be released on October 23rd in the UK and November 6th in the US.
