Many things were said about the recently launched BMW M4 GTS, but pricing wasn’t one of them, until now.
Thanks to a future M4 GTS owner who posted his UK order sheet of the automobile on Bimmerpost, we finally have an answer. Apparently, a well-spec’d M4 GTS costs £120,500 ($184,883) including taxes.
Surprisingly, it comes pretty much packed straight from the box with a plethora of standard equipment, including cruise control with brake function, rain sensors with auto headlight activation, headlight washers, alarm system, tire pressure monitoring system, M carbon ceramic brakes, and park distance control – just to name a few.
And even if the owner went for “only” £1,565 ($2,401) worth of optional extras, he actually got many cool things (which are not that expensive compared to the total price of the car), including a carbon fiber interior package, speed limit display and internet. Still, he’ll have to be a little patient before seeing it in “the flesh”, as the estimated delivery time of the car is June 2016.
It won’t be easy, especially as the M4 GTS is an amazing piece of technology, sporting the best the Bavarian car manufacturer has to offer in terms of track-munching automobiles, but we think he’ll make it.
The car, by all means, is a race-grade, street legal super-machine, equipped with a water injection system, a roll-cage and a potent 493hp S55 twin-turbo, straight-six, capable of launching it from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.8 seconds, topping off at 305km/h (190mph).
So, there’s no surprise that the lightweight machine, which also sports a purpose-built, three-way adjustable M coil-over suspension, additional optimized aero (including a huge rear wing), a re-worked electromechanical steering system, and an enhanced “Active M’ slip differential, comes at a high price.
