While there’s no denying the fact that AMG is certainly a “place that’s different” compared to what other manufacturers do, some might say that their philosophy is nothing but strength in numbers.
Consider for a moment the sheer number of AMG vehicles that Mercedes-Benz has. It starts with the A 45 AMG, continuing with the CLA 45, AMG C63 & 63 S, C63 Coupe, E63 & E63 S Sedan & Estate, CLS 63 & 63 S plus the Shooting Brake, S63 Sedan & Coupe, S65, SLK 55, SL 63 & 65, AMG GT & GT S, GLA 45, GLE & GLE Coupe both 63 & 63 S, GL63 and finally G63 & 65.
That’s infinitely more than BMW M-Division products, and quite a lot more than Audi S & RS models as well. The downside is that when you’re driving an AMG car, it’s no longer as exclusive as it was back in the day when you could only get one or two models. The upside however is quite refreshing, as you can buy into the AMG range a lot easier than you could in years past.
With this in mind, Mercedes-AMG have put together a website dedicated to their ‘Inner Force’ campaign, where you’ll also find a couple of really clever slogans such as: ‘Sorry Mr Newton’, ‘Goosebumps Never Lie’ and ‘Asphalt Has Feelings Too’. Each slogan comes with a message which may or may not sound a bit silly – depends on how you’re feeling about it.
All in all, there’s no reason for Mercedes not to show off their pride regarding their AMG models, as of course any owner would.
